Sophie Gu joined IHS in 2010 where her main responsibilities include conducting investment/equity research, building industry/company models, performing company valuations, forecasting industry trends as well as supporting custom projects and client inquiries.
Prior to joining IHS, Sophie worked as a product development manager for JAJ International Inc., a biotech company in in-vitro diagnostic industry, and was responsible for market research and analysis and strategic planning, in addition to new product development. She has also worked as a trading analyst at Wells Fargo Advisors, where she oversaw daily trading and performed risk management. Prior to Wells Fargo Advisors, she served as a business analyst for Careers with Wings, a career consulting company based in San Diego, and performed industry analysis, built databases, and conducted strategic planning.
Gu holds a Master’s Degree in International Management from School of IR/PS, University of California, San Diego.
