Position: Senior Analyst, EMS/ODM
Location: El Segundo, CA
Scope and Responsibilities:
Lead, create, and deliver research and analysis on the contract manufacturing industry inclusive of the Top 50 global EMS and ODM providers. Market and manage a successful research program.
Specific responsibilities include:

Responsible for leading iSuppli research in the electronics contract manufacturing markets.

Deliver business analysis and actionable advice to the vendors to and buyers of electronics manufacturing services.

Publish leading edge research on the technical and business issues that are critical to the success of all supply chain participants (OEMs, suppliers, EMS, ODMs, logistics providers, distributors) relative the outsourced electronics manufacturing industry.

Develop forecasts on the EMS/ODM by revenue, geography, application and semiconductor consumption.

Perform competitive analysis of the top 50 EMS/ODM suppliers inclusive of primary surveys and publication of market share data.

Maintain knowledge of the strategic and operational issues (e.g. contracts) facing OEMs, EMS, ODMs and suppliers.

Analyze the current and future industrial trends and assess their impact global market opportunities and competitive dynamics for OEMs, suppliers and other supply chain participants (logistics, consultants, financial).

Deliver presentations on the EMS/ODM market to a wide range of audiences including top company executives, product marketing managers, procurement teams, major industry forums, and iSuppli conferences.

Have proven track-record for supporting OEM supplier selection processes.

Actively engage and communicate with iSuppli clients to support their business and strategic planning processes and provide real-time, expert advice in response to their diverse inquiries.

Manage research agenda to ensure that iSuppli provides leadership on hot topics that have significant impact on the contract manufacturing markets.

Support consulting engagements at all levels by delivering expert research and analysis to meet specific client needs.

Support sales and marketing activities ranging from strategic business development support to proactive sales lead development and cultivation to leading prospective client visits.

Coordinate research on EMS/ODM markets with other research areas in iSuppli. Promote the internal exchange, awareness, and collaboration of research on EMS/ODM.

Participate in research activities in a wide range of iSuppli forums and cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the EMS/ODM industry
- Strong supply chain management, procurement, product management, product marketing, market research and consulting experience.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of supply chain issues related to contract manufacturing.
- Advanced research and analysis skills.
- Strong skills in all areas of verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work as a strong independent contributor in a dynamic environment.
- Marketing and sales savvy.
Education:
- Formal business education
- MBA preferred
