Small/Medium display (SMD) shipments from Taiwan and Korea waned slightly in the last month of Q4 2012, exhibiting a 1.4% month-over-month (MoM) decline in December to reach 202.6 million units. December marks the beginning of dulled demand, as consumer and OEM spending begins to decrease after the Western Holiday season.
