Industry Growth Still Expected Despite Slight Dip in Forecast

Overall, Q2 2012 numbers were disappointing relative to the strong results posted last quarter. In aggregate, most outsourced manufacturing providers reported weaker revenues relative to expectations, but margins and most importantly, in the view of IHS iSuppli, balance sheets improved compared to last quarter and last year. IHS iSuppli still forecasts positive growth for the industry over the next five years, but obviously the global macroeconomic situation is unlikely to provide much of a near-term tailwind, which does put the IHS iSuppli forecast at risk over the near- to medium-term...
