Steven Mather has extensive experience as an equity research analyst covering technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) as well as aerospace, defense and satellite industries. At SMH Capital, Mather was ranked first of 64 analysts covering media-telecom for excess percentage return and first for predicting earnings per share.

Mather ‘s years of entrepreneurial experience includes founding Freelance Ventures, a firm specializing in comprehensive due diligence and feasibility analysis, as well as International Satellite Providers, a firm specializing in sales of mobile satellite services. He also worked in Hughes Electronic Corporation’s new ventures team and was among the first dozen employees at U.S. Digital Communications.

Mather received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
