Ahmed Abdallah
Senior Analyst, Teardown Services
Ahmed Abdallah is the resident power supply hardware analyst within the IHS iSuppli Teardown Analysis team. In addition to teardown duties, Ahmed is responsible for power-supply cost modeling.
Prior to joining IHS, Ahmed held several positions in manufacturing, engineering and product management. Early in his career, Ahmed held the position of manufacturing engineer within a contract manufacturing division of Arrow Electronics. Ahmed was later product engineer for the wireless accessory manufacturer and distributor USA Wireless Solutions, tasked with electrical and mechanical design responsibilities related to SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supplies) for wireless carriers, such as Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular. Ahmed was granted several design patents for achievements while in this role.
Promoted subsequently to product manager, Ahmed moved to greater responsibilities for product development, management, marketing and P&L for the power product category. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics and communications engineering technology.
