Position Title
Analyst

Reporting To
Director, Memory & Storage Research

Location
El Segundo, California or Santa Clara, California

Scope and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of this position are lead, create, and deliver research and analysis on the electronics components market for storage applications such as hard disk drives (HDDs) and to manage a successful research program. The scope of this position includes but is not limited to:

  • Tracking pricing for key storage platforms through primary research and industry contacts.
  • Assuming responsility for leading iSuppli research in the storage markets for semiconductors, passive components, and other electronics components with emphasis on HDD and emerging technologies.
  • Delivering business analysis and actionable advice to the vendors and buyers of electronics components used in storage products.
  • Publishing leading-edge research on the technical and business issues that are critical to success of buyers and suppliers of electronics components used in the storage products.
  • Developing forecasts on the production of storage equipment and the corresponding demand created for electronics components including semiconductors, passive components, and other electronics components in this market.
  • Performing competitive analysis of suppliers of electronics components to the storage market including primary surveys and publication of market share data.
  • Delivering presentations on the storage market and electronics components to a wide range of audiences including top company executives, product marketing managers, procurement teams, major industry forums, and iSuppli conferences.
  • Engaging actively and communicating with iSuppli clients to support their business and strategic planning processes and provide real-time, expert advice in response to their diverse inquiries. 
  • Managing a research agenda to ensure that iSuppli provides leadership on hot topics that have significant impact on the electronic component markets.
  • Supporting consulting engagements at all levels by delivering expert research and analysis to meet specific client needs.
  • Supporting sales and marketing activities ranging from strategic business development support to proactive sales lead development and cultivation to leading prospective client visits.
  • Coordinating research on storage markets and technologies with other research areas in iSuppli.  Promote the internal exchange, awareness, and collaboration of research on communications equipment and related electronics components. 
  • Participating in research activities in a wide range of iSuppli forums and component management teams.


Qualifications
At a minimum, the successful candidate will have:

  • Two or more years of experience in the storage industry
  • Strong product management, product marketing, market research or consulting experience

Requirements
At a minimum, the successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of technical and market issues related to storage systems and components
  • Advanced research and analysis skills 
  • Strong skills in all areas of verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work as a strong independent contributor in a dynamic environment
  • Marketing and sales savvy

Education

Position Title
Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager

Reporting To
Controller

Location
El Segundo, Californian

Responsibilites
The position is responsible for the daily operation of our general accounting functions including: general ledger, accounts payment, cash, foreign subsidiary accounting and financial statement reporting.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and staff 
  • A strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Chinese and/or Japanese language skills are desired
  • Automated/integrated accounting systems experise (JD Edwards) is desired

Scope

  • Manage cash flows including bank compliance
  • Manage general accounting staff
  • Audit bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll for 30 foreign employees
  • Oversee month-end close, including:
    • A/P and Payroll
    • Review and/or perform account/bank reconciliation’s monthly
  • Review travel and expense reporting
  • Produce budget to actual reports for senior management
  • Sale and property tax returns
  • Participate in cash flow analysis including AP sand PR cash flow requirements
  • Commission accounting for in-house and external sales personnel
  • Direct and participate in year-end financial audit
  • Participate in special projects as required
  • Monitor expense control and make recommendations where appropriate
  • Potential for overseas travel, if desired


Education

  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of six years direct experience (preference of both public and private firms)


 
Position Title
China Researcher, Automotive

Reporting To
Analyst, Portable & LBS

Location
Minnetonka, Minnesota

Scope and Responsibilites
The successful candidate will work as a full-time researcher to cover the emerging field of the automotive telematics and electronics industries in the Chinese market. This includes wireless technologies, GPS tracking and navigation, in-vehicle entertainment and advanced driver assist technologies. Specifically, this position will require on-going research of the Chinese market for the automotive and technology industries. Interested applicants should be proficient with Microsoft Office products and be comfortable in doing Internet based research.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must:

  • Be graduates with an academic background in technology, business, economics, or language/communications
  • Have Chinese language skills
  • Have language translation skills as well as good writing skills
  • Be learned in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Be flexible and not adverse to risk-taking

Education
A Bachelors degree is required.

Scope and Responsibilites
Activities will be focused on data collection,compilation, and analysis,using iSuppli's internal and external data working closely with senior analysts.The successful candidate will be directly responsible for memory and storage-related industry research; specifically for building and maintaining research databases.

The ideal candidate is:

  • A detail-oriented individual with excellent communications, math and data-handling skills
  • Learned in the area of statistics
  • Considered excellent in terms of research skills
  • A hard work er with good interpersonal skills
  • Considered advanced in terms of Microsoft Office (Access and Excel particularily) skills
